Mirror Polished Moly Wafer Disk Molybdenum Disc Mo wafer

high purity high density high temperature resistance good conductivity high hardness good abrasive resistance good corrosion resistance

Product Overview

Our mirror polished moly wafer (also referred to as Mo wafer, molybdenum wafer, molybdenum disc, or molybdenum disk) is a high-performance material engineered for applications demanding exceptional surface smoothness, thermal stability, and corrosion resistance. Manufactured from premium-grade molybdenum, this product undergoes a specialized polishing process to achieve a flawless mirror-like finish, making it ideal for advanced industrial, semiconductor, and aerospace applications.

With a purity level exceeding 99.95%, our molybdenum wafer combines superior mechanical strength with outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Whether you require a molybdenum disc for high-temperature furnaces or a molybdenum disk for precision optical components, this product delivers unmatched reliability and performance.

For semi-conductor industry, mirror polished molybdenum wafer is necessary. The mirror polished surface could be Ra0.005.

Key Features:

Ultra-Smooth Surface Finish

Achieves a surface roughness (Ra) of ≤0.02 μm through advanced mirror polishing techniques.

Minimizes light scattering and enhances reflectivity, critical for optical and semiconductor uses.

High Thermal Stability

Withstands temperatures up to 2,000°C (3,632°F) in inert or vacuum environments.

Low thermal expansion coefficient ensures dimensional stability under extreme heat.

Superior Corrosion Resistance

Resists degradation from acids, alkalis, and molten metals, ensuring longevity in harsh conditions.

Precision Manufacturing

Available in diameters ranging from 10 mm to 500 mm, with thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 20 mm.

Customizable dimensions and tolerances (±0.005 mm) to meet specific application needs.

High Purity Material

Molybdenum content 99.95%, with trace impurities strictly controlled (e.g., Fe, Ni, C 50 ppm).

Applications

The mirror polished moly wafer is versatile across industries requiring precision, durability, and thermal resilience:

Semiconductor & Electronics

Used as substrates for thin-film deposition, sputtering targets, and wafer processing.

Ideal for high-power electronic devices due to Mo's excellent thermal management properties.

Optics & Laser Technology

Serves as reflective mirrors, laser cavity components, and X-ray targets.

The mirror polished molybdenum disk ensures minimal energy loss in high-energy laser systems.

Vacuum & High-Temperature Furnaces

Functions as heating elements, radiation shields, and crucible liners.

The molybdenum disc maintains structural integrity in vacuum sintering and crystal growth processes.

Aerospace & Defense

Critical for rocket nozzles, propulsion systems, and satellite components.

Combines lightweight properties with extreme heat resistance.

Medical Equipment

Utilized in MRI components, radiotherapy devices, and diagnostic imaging systems.

Advantages Over Competing Materials

Durability
Compared to graphite or tungsten, the molybdenum wafer offers better oxidation resistance and mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.

Cost Efficiency
While tungsten has a higher melting point, molybdenum provides a more cost-effective solution for applications below 1,900°C.

Machinability
The molybdenum disk can be precision-machined into complex shapes without compromising structural integrity.

Surface Quality
The mirror polished moly wafer outperforms standard polished metals in minimizing surface defects and contamination risks.

Packaging & Handling Guidelines

Each molybdenum disc is individually sealed in vacuum anti-static packaging to prevent oxidation and scratches. For mirror polished Mo wafer, we will pack them in a 4 cassette every 25pcs, and then vacuum the cassette.

Storage: Keep in a dry, room-temperature environment. Avoid exposure to humid or acidic atmospheres.

Cleaning: Use alcohol or acetone for surface degreasing; avoid abrasive materials.

Why Choose Our Mirror Polished Molybdenum Products?

State-of-the-Art Manufacturing
Our molybdenum wafers are produced using powder metallurgy, followed by hot forging and multi-stage polishing to ensure uniformity and defect-free surfaces.

Rigorous Quality Control
Every Mo wafer undergoes inspection via SEM/EDS analysis, profilometry, and thermal cycling tests to meet ASTM B386 standards.

Custom Solutions
We offer tailored services, including custom coatings (e.g., gold, silicon carbide) and metallurgical bonding with other refractory metals.

Global Compliance
Compliant with RoHS, REACH, and ITAR regulations for international shipments.

Conclusion

Engineered for excellence, our mirror polished moly wafer (or molybdenum disk) redefines performance in high-tech industries. Whether youre designing next-gen semiconductors, cutting-edge optics, or aerospace systems, this product delivers precision, reliability, and longevity.

  • How will you guarantee your quality?

At first we will make sure that we got all customer's requirements clear. Then place order to production department and inspection department. Each production process will test themselves if everything is right. And before shipping, all products will pass the packing department only after inspection department inspected that the products meet customer's requirements. If not, the products will go back to production department for fixing or remaking.

  • What's the lead time? Do you accept emergency order?

For production, normally our lead time is 20-30 days. But according to different products and different quantity, it changes a little. If your order is emergency, contact with us, we will find a way out to solve your problem. For shipping, normally we ship by express and air. Express takes about 7-10 days, and air 3-5 days. And if customer requires by sea, we will ship by sea, it takes normally 40-50 days.

  • what if the products have quality issue?

All our products are shipped after strict inspection and safety packing. Inspection by each production process makes sure the quality is good. And the inspection department will inspect again carefully to make sure everything is right. But if quality issue really occurs, we are sorry, and we will be responsible. To fix the products or remake them, we will make everything right.

  • what's the payment term?

In order to keep our healthy cooperation, our payment term normally is 50% payment in advance, balance paid before shipping. And if customer needs, we will calculate the shipping cost for your reference.
